What are stretch jeans made of?
Robell stretch jeans are comprised of 66% cotton, 30% polyester, and 4% elastane. The cotton makes the stretch denim soft to the touch, while the polyester aids in longevity. Cotton is a natural fabric with breathable properties that allow softness and denim integrity. Polyester is a man-made fabric that enables the material to be sturdy and durable. The elastane is what gives the soft, stretchy jeans their unique stretch, allowing for movement and range of motion.
What is elastane made of? Does it stretch?
Elastane is a synthetic fabric known for its exceptional elasticity. It is a lightweight synthetic fabric known for its abrasion resistance, elasticity, and strength.
Adding it to trousers and jeans makes them stretchy and movable with your body. Elastane is found in products such as Spandex or Lycra, whose properties include high breathability and stretchability. How to wash stretch jeans?
Caring for your stretch denim is important in aiding in its' longevity. When washing your stretch denim, we recommend doing so inside out and on a gentle 30 cycle. This will help in the longevity and overall care of your stretch denim. We do not recommend putting your stretch denim in the dryer, as both the cotton and elastane is prone to shrinkage. Hang your jeans to dry, and you are good to go!
